South England

Vivienne P

Hello and welcome to our home!
I have been teaching for over 20 years and have a university degree and teaching qualification. I have lived in Australia, Japan, Singapore, Italy and Moscow and I love travelling! I’m married and we have a son and daughter at secondary school. We have a dog and a cat. We live in a beautiful part of South East England in Fleet, Hampshire. Fleet has won an award for being the ‘Best Place to Live in England’ many times!
We are only 40 minutes from London and we are in easy reach of many beautiful places such as Windsor, Ascot, Stonehenge, Winchester, Oxford, Brighton and Bath and Legoland. We have a 4-bedroom modern house and the town is within walking distance. We have a lovely garden with a trampoline and table tennis table. We love walking the dog, going out for the day, go karting, dancing, visiting museums in London, shopping, tennis, swimming, movies, cooking, music and the gym.

 Family information

I have a husband in his 50’s. He loves cooking, watching Italy play football and taking us out in the car for the day somewhere interesting. I have a son (2002) who loves go karting, tennis, his Mac computer, swimming, cars, Minecraft, the tenor saxophone and electric guitar. I have a daughter (2000) who loves fashion, pop music, make up, nail art, shopping, dancing, Disney movies, ice skating and horse riding. My children have friends nearby and they can visit or go out together. My mother lives in an annex next to our house and she likes going out for coffee and cake.

Students who are of school age are able to spend a day at school with my children. The school is a 3-minute walk away.
We have a golden retriever dog and we take her out for a walk every day and we have a very fat cat who likes to stay still.

I go to the gym often and particularly like zumba. I take my dog out for a walk every day in the beautiful countryside or to the town. I love driving, going shopping in the local towns and going to the cinema. I also like watching movies at home.
I like travelling and do a lot of travelling for my job as I am part time cabin crew. I love cooking and baking and like to make different cakes.
I would love you to join me in any of these activities.

About the teacher’s accommodation

Our home was completely redecorated in April 2015 and is very modern and clean-looking with contemporary furniture, art and some antiques as well. Within walking distance there are two parks where young people go, and one of them has open-air gymnastic equipment.
The town centre is within walking distance and is 10 minutes away. The train station is 30 minutes away by foot or can be reached by bus. The bus stop is near the house.

One bedroom has two twin beds and there is a smaller bedroom with one single bed. There is a shared upstairs modern shower room and a single toilet downstairs.

About the local area

Fleet has been voted ‘Best Place to Live in England’ for several years in a row. In Fleet, there are parks, shops, a canal, coffee shops, McDonalds, a train station, a skate park, many cycle routes, a leisure centre, and many restaurants. It is safe and beautiful and very near so many other interesting places. It is 40 minutes by train from Fleet to Waterloo station in London.

From Waterloo it is possible to visit many places in London by foot such as the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Covent Garden, Westminister, Big Ben, the Tate, St Paul’s cathedral and more. The museums in London are free.
Fleet is 10 minutes from Farnborough where there is a cinema, go karting and a big airshow every year. It is also 10 minutes from Farnham, Hartney, Whintney and Odiham which are all old, historic and picturesque old towns.
There is a castle at Farnham which is free to enter surrounded by a very large park.
