Family information

Steve, Helen and their daughter (2003) live at home with Coco the dog. Living by the sea we spend a lot of time at the beach or around the local area.
Helen works from home so will often be in her office in the house during lessons and will always join us for dinner in the evenings.
Our daughter (2003) is not always at home as she attends boarding school, but during the school holidays she will join us for excursions and trips out. She enjoys sports, music and drama. She is used to international students at her school and is often asked to help new students when they first arrive.

Teacher’s hobbies and interests

Coco has regular walks, which thanks to the sunshine in Hastings are always enjoyable. We also have bikes and can easily get to nearby towns on coastal paths.
In the evenings we sometimes play board games which can be a good way to practice English without the pressure of a formal situation.

About the teacher’s accommodation

The house is situated on a cliff top overlooking the Sea. Originally built as a Victorian Hospital in the 19th Century the house has 3 floors and large rooms. Students live on the 2nd floor of the house and have a private bathroom or shared bathroom with another student. The family bedrooms and bathrooms are on the third floor
