About the local area

Huntingdon is a small market town in Cambridgeshire. It is a pretty town and the railway station is just six minutes walk from Silvana’s apartment. There are shops and restaurants and sporting facilities such as bowling and rally karting. The town has a museum about Oliver Cromwell, leader of the rebellion that led to the overthrow of King Charles I in the 17th century. There is also an interesting 18th century water mill. There are buses and trains to other interesting and attractive towns in the area, such as St Neots and St Ives.
The city of Cambridge is certainly worth visiting. It has museums and art galleries as well as interesting shops and markets. It is possible to visit the ancient university colleges and to go punting on the river Cam.
