Teacher introduction

Hello, my name is Shenel and I am a qualified teacher. I have been teaching for 11 years and I am now a new mummy! My daughter was born in 2017 and is so much fun. My husband and I have just bought our first family home very close to London and close to my parents so my daughter can be looked after during the daytime. We are a 10 minute walk from Maidenhead station and 40 minutes on the train into central London. I love to cook so I spend most of my day in the kitchen!

I live with my husband and we are both in our early 30’s. We have one daughter (2017) who loves to hear people sing! My parents live very close and will be in and out to help look after my daughter. They have two wonderful small dogs. My husband works in Central London and is usually home for dinner.

Teacher’s hobbies and interests

I am an active Mum who loves yoga and dance! I try to attend a few yoga classes a week (you are welcome to join me) and my husband loves to play football. I love to cook and bake and spend time outdoors. We like to spend our weekend doing an activity in London or going on a nice walk and having some drinks at the pub.

About the teacher’s accommodation

We live in a 3 bedroom house. We have 2 bathrooms. The upstairs has a toilet in a separate room to our private shower room in our bedroom. You can use the toilet upstairs but will have full private access to the bathroom downstairs. It has a bath, shower, sink and toilet for you to use.

About the local area

Maidenhead town centre is a 15 minute walk from our house. The town is good for shopping, going to the cinema and playing sports. The leisure centre has a swimming pool, gym and different fitness classes available. The train station (to get to London Paddington) is a 10-15 minute walk from our house. The trains depart every 20 minutes into London until 11.30pm. We are a 15 minute drive from Windsor Castle (where Prince Harry recently got married). We have a park very close to our house and a number of pubs and small shops.
