Teacher introduction
Hi my name is Sally and I live in a leafy suburb of the amazing city of London. I am really proud to be a Londoner and would love to show you some of the spectacular sights. I have a passion for teaching and learning languages and have lived for long periods in Paris and Vienna. All my family love learning about different cultures and we would enjoy showing you ours through language lessons and excursions. Our beautiful house has a tranquil garden to relax in after a day out sightseeing You will have your own private bathroom and will be able to use all our living areas. The conservatory is the favourite with guests!
Teacher home details
Your bright bedroom overlooks our garden. It has two single beds, a desk and wardrobe. Your private newly furbished bathroom is located downstairs and has a shower, toilet and sink. We can have English lessons in our big kitchen or in our office downstairs. You will of course have access to our living and dining room and the conservatory.
Teacher qualifications text
I hold a TEFLA certificate and gave English tuition to students when living in Vienna. I am a qualified Primary and Secondary School teacher.
Teacher about the local area
From our beautiful five bedroom house it takes 15 minutes to walk to the nearest underground station and then a 20 minutes journey to central London and all the famous sights of London. Locally we have a traditional Green near us with a cricket pitch. Also we have an amazing park with a lake which is 10 minutes walk away and plenty of small shops nearby. In addition, the Essex country side is a short drive away and the North Sea is 45 minutes drive away.
Teacher family
I share the house with my husband, Josef, who is Austrian and my two older children, Harry and Emma. Harry is 24 and studies at a University in London, but will be in America over the Summer. Emma, my daughter, is 21 years old and works in the City of London. Both my children know London really well. I have a large extended family as well as lots of friends nearby who would love to get to know you.
Teacher how to get here by public
Our nearest underground station is Woodford on the Central line. From there it takes approximately an hour and 15 minutes to reach London Heathrow and Stansted Airport and an hour to Gatwick Airport. I would meet you from Woodford Underground Station.
Teacher hobbies and interests
Apart from learning languages (at present I am attempting Polish) I am really passionate about gardening. In the summer our garden is really stunning. I also love cooking and would love to teach you some traditional English dishes as well as learn some of yours. I also swim regularly. Above all I love having days out in London and could show you the famous as well as the less well known sights, be it historical buildings, museums, art galleries, markets or parks.
