About the teacher’s accommodation

We live in an extended bungalow with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs and  gardens at the back and front of the house. There are two bedrooms for students, one single and one double. There is a private bathroom with a shower for student’s use, but there is also the possibility of using the family bathroom which has a bath and sauna. The house is on a pleasant road with fields at the back. There are shops within a short walking distance and also a garden centre with a gift shop and café.

About the local area

We live in a Hampshire village which has basic shops and several small cafes. Within a few minutes drive we have a swimming pool and sports centre, and a small cinema which we visit frequently. There are lots of good current films on there. Jane Austen’s house in Chawton is just 5 minutes drive away and we are 20 minutes drive from Winchester, which is an important historical town, which also has good shopping. London with all the cultural activities it has to offer is an easy train journey away. Portsmouth with its historic dockyard, Southampton and the beautiful “Jurassic Coast” are all available for day trips. In Basingstoke, which is less than half an hour’s drive away, there is the possibility of ice-skating, ten pin bowling and a swimming pool with flumes. Ancient Stonehenge is also an easy drive away.
