 Family information

My husband and I have two sons, Alexander who is twenty two and Jacob who is nineteen. Alex graduated with a Masters degree in Modern Literature and is now working within television production. He lives at home unless travelling with work. Jacob is studying Economics at Loughborough University and is in his first year. He is a keen footballer and represents his university.
My husband, Simon, and I are both in our fifties. Simon is a keen cyclist and has cycled in many countries, including Vietnam, Egypt and Italy.

My husband and I enjoy walking our dogs in the local woods or on the beach and would love our students to join us and practice their conversational English whilst experiencing our local area. We are keen visitors to the cinema and see both blockbusters and indie films at our local independently run retro cinema. We go to London regularly, whether for theatre visits, shopping or seeing the many sights. We’d welcome our students to join us in any of the above.

About the teacher’s accommodation

Our house is a rambling old cottage built in 1722 and is situated in the middle of a Sussex village. It is a short walk to both the Village Store and a popular Farm Shop and café.
We have a four-posted double bed with a private bathroom for our students.

About the local area

Sussex is a beautiful county not far from London. There are many walks, castles and stately homes to visit as a direct result of us being in the heart of 1066 countryside.
Hastings is our nearest large town and there are a variety of activities to do there ranging from the beach, mini golf, art galleries, the bustling and bohemian old town and the Smuggler’s Caves.
There are several gyms, swimming pools, golf courses, theatres, cinemas and horse riding centres.
