Family information

I live with my husband Kevin. He works abroad for long periods on super yachts. Our eldest daughter lives in France; the next eldest is married living in Surrey; the next two live in Maldon with their partners. I have a grandson (18 months) and granddaughter (2). We all meet regularly and have fun together shopping, theatre, walking in the countryside, eating at restaurants. My interests are walking (especially with my dog) and playing tennis. I practice yoga and Barre (ballet based yoga). I visit the cinema and theatre in Bury St Edmund’s and enjoy the market days there, all of which you are welcome to join in with.

About the teacher’s accommodation

My home is a 15th Century Lodge situated in countryside but also close to the towns of Bury St Edmund’s and Stowmarket.  It has four double bedrooms and one single room. The main bedroom has a private en-suite and the bathroom is shared.

About the local area

Activities that are accessible locally are a swimming and sports centre; a cultural museum and cafes in Stowmarket. Bury St Edmund’s is a tourist attraction especially at Christmas when it holds a major Christmas Fayre.  During the year every week there is a large market.  Bury also has Cineworld, a popular and historic Theatre Royal; lots of shops and another theatre called The Apex, catering for concerts both classical and pop. There is a dry ski slope in Ipswich which is also fun.
