I enjoy teaching and am currently studying for a MA and therefore am interested in home tuition.

I have had students in the past but they have been connected to a school and therefore have not taught them but now I am a teacher this would be beneficial to both them and to myself. I am a social person with a range of life experience. I have travelled to different parts of the world including third world countries. I have had a range of students stay with me in the past from a number of different countries, including a family of 4 Spanish people.

About the local area

Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate all have a rich maritime history and cultural heritage, with links to Charles Dickens, Hans Christian Anderson, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, John Buchan, Wilkie Collins, Joseph Turner and Vincent Van Gogh, among others. The area has rich restaurant, cafe and pub culture, with many opportunities to listen to live music. The architecture is beautiful, with many examples of the best in 18th and 19th Century architecture. Nearby there is the medieval town of Sandwich on the River Stour and Canterbury is only a half hour away, by train or car, with excellent shopping and many buildings of cultural and historic interest. Also easy to visit are the other coastal towns of Deal, Walmer, Folkestone and Dover. Swimming, tennis, horse-riding and gym training are available locally, with Kent County Cricket Ground in nearby Canterbury.
