I am an experienced teacher of English and I live with my husband and son in a comfortable home in the town of Camberley. I specialise in teaching English one-to-one at home. I will create a total immersion course which combines one-to-one English language learning with a programme of local activities and excursions.

My husband is an electronics engineer and as he works part-time, he is usually at home two days a week to help out with excursions and activities. I have one son, who was born in 1996. We do not have any pets at home but they like music and we have a piano and a guitar.
I like classical music, cycling, tennis and swimming.

We are able to accommodate one or two students and we have both a single bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a double bedroom with a shared bathroom.

London: 45 minutes by train
Camberley: A busy shopping centre with library, theatre, leisure centre with swimming pool, 20 minutes walk or 10 minutes by local bus
Guildford: An historic town with a Norman castle and beautiful surroundings, regional museum and good shopping centre, 20 minutes by train
Windsor and Eton: Windsor castle, Eton college
Winchester: England’s first capital city with a marvellous cathedral, 60 minutes by train
Oxford: An historic town with beautiful colleges, 50 minutes by train

 

Excursions available with this teacher

Trip to Windsor ( by car) – We drive through Ascot (  Horse Racing)  and Windsor Great Park to Windsor, walk to historical Eton to see the world famous Eton College and back to Windsor to observe traditional Change of Guards at 11am. ( possibility to visit Windsor Castle ). Then  we walk around this beautiful town ( time for coffee) and have picnic lunch in the park.

Cost: Visiting the castle: £20

Trip to Oxford (by train) – Walk around historical Oxford : Oxford Castle, Oxford Museum, Science Museum  and  famous colleges. Picnic lunch by the river.

Cost: £14

Windsor & Eton – Walk along River Thames to see Eton College and then admire Windsor castle and historical town. On the way back stop for a picnic in Windsor Great Park.

Cost: Free

Mercedes Benz World – Learn about the history of motoring, see Mercedes cars and the test track in Weybridge.

Cost: Free

Oxford – Visit the famous university town and have a picnic by the river.

Cost: Train fare (£18 adult, £9 child 15 years old or younger)
