Teacher introduction

I am a friendly, warm Tesol qualified teacher with a lovely seafront flat in Worthing on the south coast of England. I have over twenty years’ experience as a secondary school teacher and now I am qualified to teach English as a second language. Worthing, where I live, is a pretty seaside town with lots on offer and all within easy walking distance from my flat. There are cinemas, theatres, shops and a museum as well as lots of sporting activities including water sports. Brighton is a twenty minute train ride away and you can be in London in one and a half hours. As well as speaking English at all times, I would assess your specific language needs and create lessons which would be both enjoyable and designed especially for you. Lessons will be interesting and fun, giving you plenty of opportunity to practice your skills and also receive helpful feedback. It would give me great pleasure to introduce you to this part of England, to some delightful English food and plenty of interesting and enjoyable aspects of English culture.
Teacher home details
I live in an elegant seafront flat which has high ceilings and big windows. It is small, cosy and comfortable. The guest room is spacious with a large double bed, a T.V, a desk and chair as well as a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. WiFi is available. In the spacious bed-sitting room is a large table where we will have our lessons. The bathroom has a shower and a bath and the kitchen is well-equipped. One of the best things about my flat is that when you open the front door, the sea is right in front of you.

Teacher about the local area
Worthing is a large seaside town. It is situated at the foot of the South Downs, 10 miles (16 km) west of Brighton, and 18 miles (29 km) east of the county town of Chichester. It has an estimated population of about 110,000. Worthing has a pedestrianised shopping centre with a wide range of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. It has a beautiful Art Deco pier and some very stylish seafront architecture. In the summer, the beaches are very popular with holidaymakers, families and young people who enjoy swimming, sunbathing or having a picnic. All year round it is a fantastic place to walk as the seafront has a wide and elegant promenade. You can also cycle along the promenade. It is easy to go to London for the day and see all the sights and of course cosmopolitan Brighton is just down the road. With cinemas, theatres, art galleries and performance venues, Worthing really does have something for everyone.
Teacher family
I have three children, all of whom have left home. My eldest daughter is an actor and lives in London, my son lives in Los Angeles and is in the music business and my youngest daughter lives in Sri Lanka and runs her own jewellery business. My sister lives in London and she is an English tutor.

I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. I have lived in Spain, Poland and East Africa and I really enjoy hearing about different countries.
