Family information

The other members of our household are my wife, Deniz, and our two children. Deniz, who is in her 30’s, is originally from Turkey. She has been a Primary school teacher for over ten years. Her school is in Newhaven, near Seaford and this year she is teaching the reception class. Deniz is a member of the local gym and she loves going to Brighton. Our son (2006) enjoys school, especially maths, English and music. Outside school he plays the guitar band goes swimming every weekend. He loves reading, science, movies and nature too. Our daughter, Ela is 3 years old. She has started going to Nursery at her Mum’s school. She loves playing, dancing and singing. Both of our children are very chatty and interested in speaking to new people. We all love listening to music and there is an electric piano in our house too. My son also plays the guitar. I am a member of the Seahaven Cycle club which has 2 or 3 rides every week; guests are welcome to come as well. I sometimes take my son to football matches at Brighton’s great Amex stadium, any guests could come along too.  I am a keen sports fan; I belong to the local cycling club. I also enjoy reading literature and writing stories.

About the teacher’s accommodation

We live in a classic 1930s house. We have a lovely wood burner fire. Our peaceful street is lined with trees and is very pretty. The town centre is less than 5 minutes walk from the house and the library is even nearer. You can reach the beach in less than 15 minutes and there is a lovely duck pond just 2 minutes away. We have just redecorated the lounge. The student room is at the front of the house, upstairs. There is a shared bathroom and an extra WC downstairs.

About the local area

We live in the lovely town of Seaford. Seaford is located in the middle of the South Downs country park. The location is wonderful. We live very near the town centre, which has a lot of cafes and several pubs. The new library is only 5 minutes away from our house. Seaford also has a seafront and beach with 2 open air cafes. There are some older buildings too including the 1,000 year old church and the Martello tower. Seven Sisters country park is nearby and Beachy Head is near too. Seaford has a sports centre which includes a gym, swimming pool and sports hall this is also near our house. Drusillas zoo is just outside Seaford, near the historical village of Alfriston. Brighton and Eastbourne are also linked to Seaford by buses every ten minutes.
