About
Francesca L

We extend a warm and friendly welcome to you from our modern, comfortable home in the spa town of Cheltenham, gateway to the beautiful Cotswolds countryside. Our home is a 4 bedroom detached house in a quiet close. It is relaxed, spacious and peaceful and you can enjoy typical English town and country life here with access to a wide range of historic places of interest. We eat plenty of tasty yet nutritious home cooked food (including plenty of treats such as hard to resist choc chip cookies!). When younger, I lived abroad for a while and understand what it is like to live far from home in a different culture. We will do everything we can to make you feel at home and ensure you have a memorable stay in the UK.

Family information

Our family includes myself, Fran, a Primary school teacher and my husband Allan, a graphic designer. We have one daughter (2008), who is always full of energy and especially loves drama, music and netball. As a family we enjoy walking in the beautiful surrounding countryside or the nearby Forest of Dean. We usually stop off at a tea shop for tea and cake in one of the many picturesque villages nearby. We also enjoy attending the festivals in Cheltenham, going to the cinema and theatre, camping and skiing.

About the teacher’s accommodation

Our comfortable, modern home is in the lovely spa town of Cheltenham which is about 2 hours from London. You have the best of both worlds where we live: in one direction it is 20 minutes to the centre of Cheltenham, in the other, it takes 10 minutes to get to the charming village of Prestbury with its historic buildings and thatched cottages. You have a lovely, bright bedroom with plenty of storage and your own study space, as well as sole use of the bathroom.
