About
Dennis C

I offer you a very warm welcome to the heart of England to improve your General English and also Business English. Young Learners will learn English and have a great time, too!

We love languages and speak several (Spanish, French, Catalan and German) and so I understand the difficulties and how to learn and improve in another language. And, we like to enjoy it and have a laugh.

Family information

I am married to Maite. Both of our boys are now working away but we have friends, family and neighbours here frequently for meals and barbecues! We have many interests including languages, sports, culture and an active social life. We play badminton and swim every week. Cycling on the canal tow-paths is great fun and healthy – we have 4 bicycles. We regularly go to the cinema or theatre. We also love music and practice playing the guitars we have.

About the teacher’s accommodation

We live in a nice friendly suburb just north of Manchester in a lovely detached house overlooking the countryside and the spectacular Pennines. The very large garden is perfect for any outdoor activity – football, badminton, golf, BBQ, gardening or simply relaxing. The 2 large double bedrooms have lovely views – a pond at the front or the hills at the back and there is a bathroom/shower for your exclusive use. Wifi, cable tv, Netflix and Spotify are fully available. Our new home gym is now open, too! We don’t have any pets in the house. But our garden has a pond with fish, newts and frogs and it is often visited by ducks, sheep, foxes, cats and sometimes a young deer – like Bambi!

About the local area

Central Manchester is just 20 minutes by train. This exciting city, the ‘Northern Powerhouse’, has lots to see and do:- shops, museums, art galleries, pop & rock concert venues, major science centres (Jodrell Bank etc) from England’s historic industrial revolution.

Nearby is “the best tapas bar in England” and the Indian & Chinese restaurants are fantastic. Locally, there are many sporting facilities including bowling, riding, swimming and tennis.

The football clubs of Manchester United & Man. City, Liverpool and Everton are all near, as are The Beatles’ Museum & ‘Tate Modern’ art gallery.
