I live in Peacehaven, Brighton, with Tyrone. The town is a beautiful location about 20 minutes drive from Brighton and is situated on top of the cliffs. It is a two-minute walk from the house to the cliffs. We have two dogs who are very friendly and don’t moult. I have spent 27 years travelling and working on cruise ships and have taught dance and drama to students aged 2 to 96. I especially enjoy teaching children and we are ready to welcome young learners and, if necessary, an accompanying adult too.

 Family information

I live with my partner, Tyrone. He is a keen aviation pilot and loves to play the double bass and the bass guitar. We have always loved dancing. We enjoy cooking and walking in the surrounding countryside. We have two dogs, a Bichon Frise Poodle cross and a Jack Russell Poodle cross, who do not moult. I love to go for long walks in the countryside and along the cliffs near our home. I enjoy cooking and making cakes. We have a very happy house and in the evening we like to play x-box connect games such as tennis, bowling and adventures.

About the teacher’s accommodation

Brighton is a very busy, thriving city. Top of the list of things to see is the Pavilion, a 18th century home built by King George IV. Its architecture is unique. The city is a thriving place culturally, with theatres, cinemas, museums, art galleries and musical venues. For those who like to shop, Brighton has big stores and many quaint, independent shops in the area known as The Lanes. Gastronomically, there is a range of restaurants to suit all tastes. It is nice to walk along the promenade and pier and enjoy the beach in summer. Places of historical interest in the area include the ancient castles at Lewes and Arundel; the Roman palace at Fishbourne; and a number of stately homes. It is well worth visiting the nearby, attractive coastal city of Chichester. It is a charming place and things to see include a 1,000 year old cathedral. Brighton is a short train journey from London so it is easy to make a day trip to see the attractions of the capital (about 60 minutes).

About the local area

My home is a semi-detached, four bedroom house in the small town of Peacehaven. A bus passes the house which goes to the centre of the city of Brighton (just 17 minutes). You will find some shops and supermarkets on Peacehaven High Street. The house is very close to the sea and near lovely countryside.
