Family information

My husband and I met only five years ago, when I was in my 50s and he in his 60s, so we still have a new, (and happy) marriage! My lively parents who are in their 80s live nearby and in the summer my 6 year old nephew stays with them so you will be able to meet them all. My friends live in a lively retreat centre in the Cotswolds where there are often young adults visiting from many different countries. Why don’t you join us walking on the beautiful hills nearby and in the evenings watch films at home, or go to the cinema or theatre. We occasionally go to Shakespeare plays at Stratford, or to a music concerts – either classical or jazz. We love cooking, baking cakes and biscuits!

About the teacher’s accommodation

Our home is directly on the High Street of a small town. At ground level there is a hardware shop, and on the first and second floors is our house! There is a large kitchen and a sitting room, with a hallway where there is a piano. Upstairs there are four rooms and a bathroom. Two of the rooms are used as work rooms for my husband and myself. Your bedroom has a settee, a TV, a simple sound system for CDs and radio, and a desk. The bathroom has a bath, and a shower and is shared with my husband and me. Across the road, just 2 minutes away, and behind the street, is a lovely riverside, and a very big area of common grassland.
