Ann is an English Teacher who has been teaching for over 15 years, teaching students at all levels.
Since becoming a teacher, Ann has lived and taught students in Language Schools in Brazil and Gran Canaria and since 2007 she have been teaching home tuition courses in Brighton. She has taught students of many different nationalities, ages and professions. Ann teaches the following courses: General English with and without Culture, Business and Professional and Examination Preparation courses.

Ann lives with her husband, Peter in a comfortable town house in Saltdean, a suburb of Brighton. The family has a very friendly Labradoodle dog. Ann’s interests include travelling, film, reading, dog walking, meeting new people and visiting local places of interest.

The student’s room in Ann’s home is on the ground floor, comfortable and a place where students can have privacy and quiet whenever they need it. Students have access to our fibre optic wifi.

About the local area


Ann lives opposite the beach, within walking distance of the historic village of Rottingdean and also Brighton Marina. There is a bus stop very close to Ann’s house where you can catch a bus into the centre of Brighton every 5 minutes. Brighton is awash with interesting shops, restaurants, bars and theatres as well as the famous Pier and Royal Pavilion. The beautiful coast has many walking trails along the cliffs toward Newhaven Fort, Seaford, Seven Sisters and Eastbourne. Close by is also the stunning South Downs where you can go riding, cycling and walking. Brighton is just an hour from London and has fantastic transport links.

Brighton seaside trip – A visit to a traditional British seaside including a visit to the Brighton Pier, a walk along the promenade, fish and chips on the beach. After lunch, we will go on a walking tour of Brighton passing by the famous Brighton Pavilion and the picturesque North Laines.
