Our very young learner students live and learn in the family home of a friendly and caring teacher. This is a carefully designed exam preparation course which meets the study needs of young students and prepares them for school exams or IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Cambridge YLE and Checkpoint exams. Our qualified Homelingua teachers are experts in teaching and hosting young students and will look after your child with the highest level of care. Please contact your Bucksmore Homelingua course consultant if you are not sure which exam is best for your child.

On a home tuition course students learn English at the teacher’s home. The English immersion environment means your child becomes more confident in using English and develops their knowledge of English grammar and vocabulary in a natural context. When students learn English at the teacher’s house, not only do they benefit from a personalised course, but they also take part in cultural activities and family life.

Using the Homelingua Advanced Learning System we can deliver results and progress much faster than other study methods.

Alexander – 8 years old from China

  • English level: B2 Upper-intermediate
  • Course: School subjects course
  • Teacher: Fiona
  • Location: Brighton, East Sussex

Alexander studies at international school in Shenzen, China. He has studied in English speaking schools since kindergarten. His mum contacted Homelingua asking for advice. Her son was very shy and had been struggling with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme at school. His mum wanted a course that would make her son more confident at speaking and also improve his grades at school. Alexander studied on a School subjects course with Fiona, a former international school teacher, in Brighton. As well as the expert tuition he received from Fiona, he also made great progress in being a more confident speaker thanks to the time he spent with Fiona’s son.
