Mary is a qualified and experienced Teacher of English as a Foreign Language. Before teaching English from home, Mary was a qualified teacher in a Primary School in East Sussex. Mary has taught students of many different nationalities and levels both in groups and on a one-to-one basis. Mary also teaches Business English, English for Examinations and Young Learner courses.

Mary lives with her husband Dennis in Heathfield, East Sussex. Mary and Dennis have two children who live away from home. Their daughter is a teacher and a violinist in the Sussex symphony orchestra and Mary enjoys going to the concerts when she performs. Mary loves music and sings in the choir. She likes to visit places of historical interest and enjoys the theatre.

Your Teacher's home

Mary and Dennis live in a comfortable and spacious detached house. There are four bedrooms, lounge, dining room, study, cloakroom and conservatory that leads out to the beautiful back garden that has been landscaped by Dennis. There is a pond with fish and Mary and Dennis like to have barbecues with their family at weekends. The student's room has a desk for private study and a double bed.

About the location

The house is situated in the market town of Heathfield which is 40 minutes by car or bus from Eastbourne and 30 minutes by car to Brighton. Heathfield is also close to the town of Tunbridge Wells.
