They have a private garden where students can relax when the weather is nice, and access is allowed to the castle grounds which overlook the sea.
The student's room in Sarah's home is well-furnished and comfortable and provides a place where students can have privacy and quiet whenever they need it.
Sarah's interest's include walking along the scenic coastal paths, reading and music. She plays the clarinet in a local concert band and students are always welcome to join in. John is a keen sportsman and enjoys playing golf and squash.
Sarah prepares a personalised intensive English course for each student, adapted to the specific skills and language areas they wish to focus on. Students may wish to improve their speaking and listening skills, for instance, or their pronunciation, writing or grammar, or some other area. As a specialist in one-to-one English home tuition, Sarah can ensure that the course gives in-depth coverage and practice of precisely these target areas so that progress is maximised.
A Homelingua course also provide the huge benefits of being a total immersion course. In addition to their one-to-one English tutorials with Sarah, students share in the daily life of Sarah and her family, engaging in a range of activities including meals and get-togethers with Sarah's extended family, shopping, meeting friends and participating in family outings. All these experiences involve invaluable exposure to everyday English as it is really spoken; this greatly helps students improve their communication skills in English and also their confidence in speaking English, so that at the end of the course progress has been made on many levels.
