Alison is an experienced and qualified teacher who lives with her husband, near the town of Wellingborough. She is in her mid 50's and has a son who is going to University in September 2011. Before becoming a teacher of English as a Foreign language, Alison spent many years as a Primary School Teacher and more recently has been teaching others to gain the PGCE qualification to become qualified teachers themselves. Alison now combines teaching English at home with her other interests in Property Development.
Hobbies and Interests
Alison's hobbies include gardening and garden design, renovating properties, learning French and walking her dogs. Alison and her family own a property in France and enjoy spending their holidays in rural France where no English is spoken.
Family
Alison lives with her husband, Alan who enjoys vehicle renovation, looking after the chickens, and most types of sport. Alison's son is going to University in September 2011, but will come home some weekends and holidays.
Alison and her family live in a large detached house built on the site of an old barn. They have a beautiful garden for students to sit in and relax when the weather is nice. The student room is spacious and comfortable. There is also a study that students can share with the family.
Pets at home
Alison has 2 dogs. They also have chickens that live in the garden.
Location
Alison lives in the small rural town of Raunds. It is just 15kms from the main town of Wellingborough. Raunds has lots of small interesting shops, supermarkets, a library, Post Office and sports centre. There are also restuarants and "pubs" in the town. All of the shops are within walking distance of Alison's home.

Alison draws on her wide experience to develop an intensive tailor-mad language course that focuses on the language areas that are most important to you, such as speaking and listening, writing and grammar. This can be done at all levels - elementary, intermediate or advanced. Alison worked for many years as a state school teacher and then as a consultant and trainer for the Local Education Authority.
