John qualified as a teacher of English after taking early retirement from a career in the IT industry. John has experience teaching students at different levels and of many different nationalities.

John's first University degree was in history and he has a keen interest in British and European history. John enjoys a wide range of other interests including the theatre, golf, football and philosophy.

John will make a personalised one-to-one English study course for you. This can be done at all levels - elementary, intermediate or advanced. For example, you may want to practise your speaking and listening skills, or you may want to work on pronunciation or grammar. In addition to your lessons, there will be a lot of conversation practice through the day and during meal times. One-to-one homestay English lessons allow you to improve your English as quickly as possible.

John lives with his wife, Lynne and son who is in his early teens. John and family have 2 small and friendly dogs.

John and family live in a comfirtable semi-detached home. the student room is compact and comfortably furnished with bed, wardrobe, desk and chair.
