Your teacher

Sue is an experienced teacher of English as a foreign language and lives with her husband Brian.  She regulary teaches intensive courses at home and also teaches in a local primary school.  Sue has taught groups of students of different nationalities including French, Italian and Russian students and enjoys teaching both at school and from her home.

Sue prepares a personalised course for each student, adapted to whatever specific skills and language areas they wish to focus on. Students may wish to improve their speaking and listening skills, for instance, or their pronunciation, writing or grammar, or some other area. As a specialist in one-to-one home tuition, Sue can ensure that the course gives in-depth coverage and practice of precisely these target areas so that progress is maximised. Sue draws on her wide experience to design a language course which is tailormade for each of her students, with intensive work on the specific language areas which the student has identified as key. This targeted approach is very effective and achieves far more rapid progress than is possible in a normal language course where time is inevitably wasted on things which the student either doesn’t need to know or already knows.

Sue’s students follow a specially designed one-to-one English language course which focuses on the language areas which are most important to them, such as speaking and listening, writing, grammar, the language of business English, and so on. By working intensively on these target areas, students make rapid progress in their English language learning during their stay.

Sue is interested in art galleries, museums and handicrafts and lives with her husband Brian who is an engineer.
