Chris enjoyed a succesful career as an executive in the Banking and IT sector. After taking early retirement, Chris has retrained as a teacher of English and enjoys welcoming and teaching students in his comfortable home in the South of England.

Chris's interests include music, walking, playing guitar, railway history, model railways and eating out.. Chris lives with his wife and they have 6 adult children who live away from home.

Chris will make a personalised one-to-one English study course for you. For example, you may want to practise your speaking and listening skills, or you may want to work on pronunciation, writing or grammar. In addition to your lessons, there will be lots of conversation practice during meal times. One-to-one homestay English lessons allow you to improve your English as quickly as possible.

Chris's area of expertise is in banking and IT. Chris's long career in the banking industry combined with his teacher training enables him to provide a tailor made English plus Banking English language course.

Message from your Teacher

Hello, Julie (my wife) and I have been inviting students to our home for several years. We love showing off our corner of England with its castles and beaches and quaint little towns. We both love food, so we do our best to make sure you enjoy what you are eating too. Students who are keen cooks can try out our English recipes in the kitchen. We adapt our lessons to make them interesting to you, so it is helpful to know your interests or particular problems you may be having with the English language.

We have films you can watch, and the Internet to use for some time during the day. We have a lovely garden to sit in if it's sunny.

I was an executive in the Banking and IT sector, and we have 6 grown up children so we are used the needs of young people and ambitious adults alike.
