Christmas in Britain is a very special occassion. On this programme you live and study in the home of your teacher and combine 20 hours of 1-1 English language training and activity based learning with an experience of British Christmas lifestyle and culture.

The following itinerary is an example and the actual programme will be made by each teacher individually depending on their location and your interests.

Wednesday
23rd December

Arrive to the home of your host family and teacher. Meet the family and enjoy your evening meal together. You can travel to your teacher's home by public transport or private taxi.

Thursday
24th December

Morning: 09.00-12.00 English lessons
Lunch with your home teacher
Afternoon: Help your teacher and host family prepare for Christmas.

Friday
25th December

 

Christmas Day
Enjoy a traditional Christmas day with your home teacher and family. Each family enjoys christmas in a different way. A British family will usually spend the morning preparing Christmas lunch and opening presents. After lunch at 3.00 pm The Queen's speech is on television. The evening time is often spent playing a family game or watching a traditional Christmas film or drama on TV.

Relaxing

Saturday 2nd January 2010 Preparation for your return journey. You can travel back to the airport by private taxi or public transport.
