Your teacher

Deborah trained as a teacher of English in 2007 and is also a professional artist by training. Deborah brings to her teaching a love of the English language and a genuine interest in people. Deborah enjoys a wide range of interests but especially enjoys the arts. Deborah's creative skills are a great asset to her teaching in lesson and learning materials preparation.

Your teacher will make a personalized English study course for you at all levels - elementary, intermediate and advanced. Your homestay lessons will be designed especially for you and together with your teacher decide what your needs are and work out your programme of lessons. For example, you may want to practise your speaking and listening skills, or you may want to work on pronunciation or grammar. You can make rapid progress in speaking and understanding with one to one english lessons during the week and conversation during the day and at meal times.

Your teacher will combine your course with activities and excursions to help you discover the local area.

Deborah lives with her two teenage children. The family surroundings make it an ideal environment for total immersion in the English language.

Your teacher lives in a comfortable 4 bedroom home.

About the location JA

An ancient city on the banks of the River Wye, Hereford is the commercial and artistic heart of the county. It is a harmonious city and one that has successfully incorporated its rich heritage into the bustle of day-to-day life. Don`t be surprised to find historic buildings housing modern shops and modern buildings holding historic treasures (such as the priceless Mappa Mundi, a 13th-century cartographer`s interpretation of the world).

Nearest train station

The nearest station is Hereford. There are direct trains from Birmingham and London, and a regular bus service from London Heathrow airport. The nearest aiport is Birmingham.
