Japanese speaking Sales and marketing staff

Basic requirements
  • UK residency
  • Fluent Japanese language speaker

The candidate must be an excellent communicator and sales person with at least 2 years full time work experience in Japan, preferably sales related or in the education sales sector. We are looking for a candidate who is ambitous, enthusiastic and wanting to be part of a hard working, quality and profit driven small business.

The candidate must be willing to share a wide variety of task and responsibilities including:

  • Following up sales enquiries from our websites www.homelingua.com and www.eikokutabi.com and converting enquiries into course sales.
  • Handling customer bookings and all operational and administrative tasks for each booking, such as providing details of teachers, transfer bookings etc
  • Support of customers after arrival in the UK, making sure that their course is progressing smoothly.
  • Dealing with problems or complaints from customers during their course
  • Dealing with bookings and enquiries from our wide network of agents
  • Generating new sales leads through calling of companies and language schools
  • Various administration and office tasks assigned by the line manager
Location

Woodstock, Oxfordshire

Working conditions
  • 08:30-17:00 Overtime may be required during summer season
  • Starting salary: 12-15k per annum + commission depending on experience
  • Holiday: 20 days per year. Restricted holiday during the summer period (June – August)

Education
  • University degree level or equivalent qualification; or 2 year junior college with 3 years work experience in a similar field at NVQ level 3 or above
Experience
  • 3 years work experience at NVQ level 3 or above. The work experience must be with a Japanese company
  • The experience should preferably be in either the study abroad or travel business
Skills
  • Native Japanese speaker with good Japanese writing and communication skills. A command of keigo and Japanese business manners is essential
  • We are looking for a ‘people’ person, outgoing, talkative and willing to take on a telephone sales and counselling role
  • The candidate must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • The person must have excellent time management skills and be able to manage shifting priorities in a busy office environment
  • Team player
  • Clean driving license preferred
  • Computer literate (MS Access, word, mail merge)

French speaking translator/copywriter required to develop the French language part of Homelingua.com.

The project requires wirting and copywriting of the French content, research and anlysis of keywords and optimisation of the content for search engines.

The contract is for 50 hours work int he first stage. Hourly rate depends on experience.

The prject will require 2-3 half-day training sessions to learn about our content management system. Thereafter, the work can be done from home.
