The student's room in Anne's house is nicely furnished and decorated and provides a relaxing space where students can go for quiet and privacy at any time.
Anne's interests include going to the gym and taking classes in pilates and yoga and spending time with her family. Anne has a passion for cooking and is happy to share this with students should they wish to learn about English cooking. Anne's daughter enjoys reading and dancing, and is very involved in the local amatuer dramatics group.
The family have a friendly cat.
Anne prepares a personalised intensive English course for each student, adapted to the specific skills and language areas they wish to focus on. Students may wish to iprove their speaking and listening skills, for instance, or their pronunciation, writing or grammar, or some other area. As a specialist in one-to-one English home tuition, Anne can ensure that the course gives in-depth coverage and practice of precisely these target areas so that progress is maximised.
A Homelingua course is also much more than just a language course: it is a total immersion course. In addition to receiving intensive one-to-one tuition, students are integrated into the daily life of Anne and her family, including, for instance, sharing family meals, visiting friends, shopping or participating in various outings. This exposure to natural, everyday English is a unique feature of the Homelingua experience and students often find that it dramatically improves both their language skills and their confidence in communicating in English. It also offers a warm and in-depth experience of the British way of life.
