Cancellation, terms and conditions

Before making an enrolment, please read through our terms and conditions and what to do in case you need to cancel your course.

Conditions

• Homelingua considers the choice of home tutor and host family to be more important than choice of location. We cannot guarantee to place you with a teacher in your first choice of location.
• You (the student) must take out necessary insurance against cancellation, accident, illness, injury, loss of property, theft or any accidental damage to the participant’s property or damage caused by the participant to the property of others.
• Homelingua, home teachers and host families in the employment of Homelingua will not accept responsibility for any injury or damage to persons or property of participants during the course.
• Homelingua reserve the right at its absolute discretion to expel (without refund of fees) any participant, in the case of theft, any criminal offence or persistent antisocial or unacceptable behaviour.
• Enrolments are accepted on condition that a student has no illness or infirmities that they do not mention in advance.
• Homelingua reserves the right to place a student with more than one host teacher on a given course and/or change the tutor before or during the stay. Homelingua reserves the right to organise a homestay with one family and lessons with an outside teacher if a teacher family cannot be found.

Cancellation

• Your deposit of £150.00 is non refundable. 
• If notice of cancellation is made 29-15 days before the start of the course a cancellation charge of 50% is due.
• If written cancellation is received less than 14 days before the start of a course all fees are payable. Fees will not be reimbursed if the participant arrives late or departs before the end of their course.
• Participants cannot join their course unless full payment has been received by Homelingua.
