You will be welcomed into your teacher's home as a member of the family and encouraged to participate in activities that your teacher and family are doing. You will also have some free time and your teacher will help you make full use of this time for independent excursions or activities that you want to do. In the evenings you are welcome to join your host family to talk about the day’s events, watch television or a video, or perhaps to visit the local pub.
My host family made me feel welcome and comfortable from the moment I arrived in their house. They really made an effort to help me join in with their life and activities and helped me organise my free time to explore the local area.
