Examination Preparation: FCE (Cambridge First Certificate)

A one-to-one English language course suitable for students preparing for the Cambridge First Certificate. Your intensive language course is tailor-made by your teacher to meet your individual needs. The course provides total immersion in the English language because you live and learn in the home of your teacher.

The examination

FCE is suitable for people who require English for professional or study purposes. There is an emphasis on real-world tasks. FCE is widely recognised in commerce and industry as showing an upper-intermediate level of English.

Course content

The course is a highly intensive but broad programme of language development, focusing on all of the main skills that you required in the FCE exam. Typically a lot of attention is given to developing the different forms of writing tested in the exam, and to achieving an appropriate degree of grammatical accuracy. Vocabulary development is another extremely important aspect of the course. Listening and interview practice are also significant parts of the course.
