James Bond: A British icon

2012 marks the 50th anniversary of the James Bond films. James Bond is a British icon created by author Ian Fleming and brought to life by the James Bond films. Six great British actors have played James Bond: Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig. All have created a cool iconic character that oozes charm and charisma.

After the character one of the most beloved things about the Bond films are the cars. James Bond has been the owner of many classic British cars: Aston Martin, Bentley, Land Rover and Rolls Royce.

50 of the iconic cars from the James Bond films are now on display at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, Hampshire. The exhibition is called Bond in Motion and is on until December 2012. The exhibition includes the famous Aston Martin DB5 and the Lotus Esprit S1. This is the largest display of Bond cars ever.
